Seeking a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor, to manage a significant civils and infrastructure package with an anticipated construction value in excess of £100m.
The role involves the management and responsibility for a high value and diverse range of high-risk construction packages including; Earthworks, Remediation & Deep Drainage, Roads & Utilities, MP / HP Gas Diversions, LV Installation and significant Road Junctions with structures.
The management of Infrastructure Commercial team, two individuals
Management and full responsibility for subcontract work packages, financial reporting, monthly valuation and final account
Carry out scope reviews, gap analysis and review of risks and opportunities on a regular basis to secure cost efficiencies and value for money to the development
Liaison with architects and consultants to provide continuous value engineering of design concepts and proposals
Management of design team deliverables to ensure adequate information flow in line with programme requirements
Implement and maintain cost reporting systems on site
Periodic updates of the cost plan and commercial / procurement sections and assisting in the preparation of the monthly project review report
Variation and final account negotiation
To be considered for this opportunity, it is anticipated that you:
Hold a qualification in Commercial Management or Quantity Surveying, ideally to degree level
Have a demonstrable understanding of the NEC ECC form of contract
Have experience in leading a team
Have demonstrable experience in procuring and administering a supply chain
